20 - 30 min

Easy

As a vegetarian alternative when grilling, Greek feta is truly white gold. How about serving this culinary delight in an even brighter, crispy form on a salad? Ever dreamed of it? Now your dream can come true thanks to our Veggie Crumbz. Don't wait until the next barbecue party, but enjoy the feta in a new, crispy guise.

INGREDIENTS

for 2 portions

Breaed feta:

  • 200 g feta
  • 50 g flour
  • 100 g Veggie Crumbz Orange Carrot
  • 2 eggs

Salad:

  • 2 handfuls of salad
  • 1 mango
  • Cucumber
  • Tomatoes

Salad dressing:

  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • Honey
  • 1 level tsp mustard
  • Salt, pepper, mediterranean herbs

STEP BY STEP

1. Put on your apron, wash your hands and vegetables - let's go!

2. Grab your salad greens: the mango, a cucumber, some tomatoes and cut them into small cubes. You then put these aside. You can cut the lettuce leaves into mouth-sized pieces.

3. For the crunchy feta highlight, first divide the cheese into four equal pieces. Get three bowls. Crack the 2 eggs into a bowl and put the flour and the veggie crumbz in separate bowls - now for the breading! First, roll the feta strips in the flour from all sides. Shake off the excess flour and dip the feta strips into the egg mixture. The last coating is the VEGGIE CRUMBZ.

4. Now heat heat-resistant oil such as mazola in a pan. If you throw in a veggie crumb and it just starts to sizzle, the oil is hot enough to fry. The feta strips can now be rolled from both sides until the desired tan is achieved. But BE CAREFUL - don't let the VEGGIE CRUMBZ burn. Leave the feta strips to cool on the kitchen paper provided before serving.

5. Almost there - only the salad dressing is missing. Combine all the ingredients and stir vigorously until everything is combined.

6. Your creativity and all your dexterity are required when serving - done. Enjoy your well-deserved work!
